Abandoned Cart Recovery by CART

Turn hesitation into checkout with a conversation, not a blast.

CART texts shoppers the moment they hesitate at checkout, answers what is holding them back, and finds the upsell. We run the infrastructure. You keep the revenue.

Shoppers abandon up to $260B in orders at checkout. CART brings them back one conversation at a time.

Cart abandonment isn't a glitch in your store. It's the default outcome of checkout, and it has held near 70% for over a decade.

Three kinds of hesitation, and what CART does about each one.

40%*Cost

A surprise cost shows up at checkout

Shipping, tax, or fees push the total higher than the shopper expected, and they close the tab rather than accept it.

CARTAnswers in the thread: real shipping cost, real total, no blast discount to guess with.
42%*Timing

They weren't ready to buy yet

Browsing, comparing, or just thinking it over. Most recovery flows send a first message an hour later, by which point the intent has gone cold.

CARTReaches back out within 15 minutes during sending hours, while intent is still warm, and holds a real conversation instead of a scripted sequence.
Question

One unanswered question got in the way

Sizing, fit, ingredients, dosage, whether it'll actually work for them. Nobody was there to answer it, so they left instead of guessing.

CARTAsks what's actually stopping them, then answers it directly, no script, no guessing.

Revenue happens in moments. Catch them while intent is still active.

Running a flow isn't recovering the revenue.

A DIY app or a timed flow checks the box, then leaves the work with you. It fires on a schedule, can't read a reply, and needs someone to run it. Recovery comes from the conversation and the team behind it.

CART's real differentiator is what happens after the open: 45–60% of shoppers reply, a response rate that simply doesn't exist for one-way channels. Email and SMS flow recovery rates reflect typical program performance per Klaviyo Email Benchmarks 2026 and the Attentive Mobile Report 2026; CART's 10–15% reflects SalesLead.ai's own live testing results, not the same benchmark set.

Step 01

Share your numbers

Your monthly orders and checkout volume, plus how your current cart recovery performs. We handle the rest.

Step 02

We report two numbers

How many abandoned checkouts you are likely seeing, and what conversational recovery could realistically add on top of your current flows.

Sized against your current flows, not instead of them.
Step 03

You decide

If the numbers make sense, start your free trial and go live in an average of 5 to 7 days. If not, you keep the report.

No retainers. No long-term contract.

Proof First. Commitment Later.

Your first 1,500 credits ($300 value) are on us. Run CART on your own store for up to 30 days before you commit to anything.

Step 01

Connect

CART connects to your store with no dev work. We handle your phone number, carrier registration, and configuration, operating within SalesLead.ai's compliance framework.

A card on file and your consent attestation are required before sending. Nothing is billed during your trial. Everything else, email, welcome series, campaigns, keeps running as normal.
Step 02

Run

CART runs live two-way conversations with your abandoners until you have used your 1,500 credits or 30 days have passed, whichever comes first. For cart recovery, any existing cart-recovery SMS flow is paused for a clean comparison.

Step 03

Every reply, recovery, and revenue dollar is tracked.

You get a side-by-side comparison against your historical results.

What You Need to Know

Getting started
What is abandoned cart SMS recovery?
Re-engaging shoppers who abandon their cart using text messages. SMS achieves 90%+ open rates, well above email's 20-30%. Because CART opens a real two-way conversation, 45-60% of shoppers actually reply, a response rate that doesn't exist for one-way blasts or email.
How long does it take to go live?
On average, 5 to 7 days, including getting your dedicated phone number and carrier (A2P 10DLC) registration approved, which is the part that takes the longest. No developer work required. SalesLead.ai handles integration, number setup, carrier registration, and compliance end-to-end.
Which ecommerce platforms does CART work with?
Customer Winback works on any ecommerce platform, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Adobe Commerce (Magento), because it needs only your customer list, order history, and consent records. Data comes in through a file export or a Klaviyo export, or through a live Klaviyo, API or webhook feed, which counts as a connection and carries the setup fee. Abandoned Cart Recovery needs live store events, so it is live on Shopify today and we set up a connection for other platforms. Custom and headless stores are scoped individually.
Pricing and free trial
What does the free trial include?
Your first 1,500 credits, a $300 value, free for up to 30 days, whichever comes first. It is one trial per brand. A card on file and your consent attestation are required before sending, and nothing is billed during the trial. It starts with a Free Revenue Review so you know what to expect.
How does pricing work?
You buy credits, and one credit is one standard-length message sent or received. Growth is pay as you go at $0.20 per credit, from a $300 purchase. Larger packs lower the rate: Momentum, Accelerate, and Scale. At 250,000+ credits, talk to us about Enterprise. Every credit includes our fully managed service, with no monthly platform fee and no long-term contract. A $500 one-time setup fee applies to your first engine that connects to your store. It is added as a separate line on your first credit purchase and does not use up credits. Database reactivation starts from your customer export, so there is no setup fee. A live Klaviyo, API or webhook feed counts as a connection, and the setup fee applies.
What happens if my balance reaches zero?
Sending pauses until you top up. You can turn on auto-reload to keep your balance topped up, or buy more any time.
Can I get a refund on unused credits?
Yes. Unused credits are refundable within 12 months of purchase, at the price you paid.
Your stack
How does CART work with my existing Klaviyo flows?
CART runs alongside Klaviyo, it doesn't replace it. Customer Winback reaches customers who have gone quiet, and cart recovery targets abandoners who didn't open your email, adding an incremental layer on top.
I already use Postscript, Attentive, or another SMS tool. Does CART conflict with it?
Customer Winback texts customers who have gone quiet, so it doesn't overlap with your active flows. For cart recovery, we pause the cart-recovery-specific flow in your existing SMS tool during your free trial, so there's no duplicate messaging to the same shopper. Everything else on your SMS program, welcome series, campaigns, non-cart flows, keeps running as normal. That gives you a clean comparison against your historical results. See how CART stacks up on our comparison page.
Does CART have write access to my store?
No. Access is read-only. CART only requests permission to read orders, customers, products, and inventory. It never creates, modifies, or deletes anything in your store.
What does "conversational AI" mean in practice?
Instead of a scheduled blast, CART opens a real two-way dialogue. It picks up from what the customer actually bought or left in their cart, answers their questions, addresses their hesitation, and guides them back to buy, drawing on training across ecommerce categories such as beauty, wellness, apparel, footwear, jewelry, food and beverage, home goods, and pet. It can also suggest complementary products or pairings to help increase order value.
Is CART real-time?
Yes. For cart recovery, CART fires within 15 minutes of abandonment during sending hours, while purchase intent is still active. Abandonments that happen overnight are held until the morning to respect quiet hours.
Why does CART use local numbers instead of an 800 number?
Local, dedicated numbers cost more to set up, and take more time on the front end, than toll-free, but they're what let CART feel like a real person texting instead of a bot blast. Since results depend on customers actually replying, the number has to feel like a conversation, not a notification.
Do customers know they're interacting with AI?
Yes. If a customer asks whether they're speaking with a person or an AI, CART discloses that clearly and immediately, consistent with applicable disclosure requirements.
Who runs it
Who operates and manages CART?
SalesLead.ai, end-to-end: integration, A2P 10DLC registration, and ongoing SMS operations, all run within SalesLead.ai's compliance framework. Conversations are monitored by AI in real time and escalated to our revenue execution team whenever it matters. No dashboard to manage, no team to train. CART handles the sales conversation, not customer support, so your brand keeps its own support team for questions like order issues and returns.
Do I need to manage this myself?
No. Most SMS tools hand you a dashboard and expect you to configure flows, watch the inbox, and troubleshoot deliverability yourself. CART is run by SalesLead.ai's revenue execution team, with AI monitoring every conversation in real time and escalating anything that needs a human. There's nothing for you to log into or manage day to day.
Can I get a security questionnaire or SOC 2 information before I start?
If you need a completed security questionnaire or our SOC 2 attribution before getting started, see our Security page.
