Customer Winback, starting with database reactivation

Recover the revenue sitting in your customer list.

CART reaches the customers who have gone quiet, picks up from what they actually bought, and brings them back. It starts with a one-time database reactivation from your customer list, then keeps running. No store connection required, no setup fee. We run the infrastructure. You keep the revenue.

Start with the customers you already have. No store connection required.

Database reactivation is where winback starts: a one-time wave to the customers who have gone quiet, built from a file you already have.

Step 01

Send your customer export

Order history and consent status, as a file or a Klaviyo export. No store connection required, no developer work, and no setup fee. A live Klaviyo, API or webhook feed is a connection, so the setup fee applies.

Step 02

We prepare the list

We clean the list, remove duplicates and numbers that cannot receive texts, and group customers by what they bought and how long they have been quiet, at no charge. Consent stays yours to confirm, and you attest to it before we send.

Step 03

CART starts conversations

Each customer gets a message from your brand that picks up from their last order, and CART carries the conversation from there. AI reviews every conversation and escalates to a human as needed.

Then it keeps running on three ongoing triggers, so winback does not stop after the first wave.

Customers go quiet for different reasons. CART meets each one with a conversation.

It starts with a one-time reactivation of your dormant customers, then keeps running on three ongoing triggers.

01Gone quiet

A customer bought once and went quiet

Every store has customers who bought and never came back. A generic "we miss you" blast gets ignored.

CARTReaches out about the product they actually bought, and answers whatever is holding them back.
02Reorder timing

It is about time they ran out

Consumables and replaceables have a natural cycle. Miss the window and the customer buys from someone else.

CARTTexts at the point they are likely to need more, and makes reordering a one-reply conversation.
03Cancel or pause

A subscriber cancels or pauses

The moment someone leaves is the moment they will tell you why, if anyone asks.

CARTAsks what changed, addresses it, and offers to adjust the plan before the customer is gone.
Winback needs only your customer list, order history, and consent records, so it works on any ecommerce platform. See platform support →
Why it matters: repeat customers are about 21% of customers but about 44% of revenue (Gorgias, via Shopify).

Repeat customers carry the revenue. Quiet ones are revenue you already earned once.

21%
Of customers are repeat customers
A small slice of your customer list.
44%
Of revenue comes from repeat customers
The customers who came back carry nearly half of sales.
About 2x
Revenue share versus customer share
Repeat customers bring in roughly twice the share of revenue that they hold in customers.

Find out how much revenue is sitting in your customer list. Before you commit to anything.

Step 01

Send your customer export

A customer export with order history and consent status, as a file or a Klaviyo export. We handle the rest.

Step 02

We report two numbers

How many customers are reachable and eligible to text, and what winback could realistically add in repeat revenue.

Only customers with valid opt-in are counted.
Step 03

You decide

If the numbers make sense, start your free trial and go live in an average of 5 to 7 days. If not, you keep the report.

No retainers. No long-term contract.

Then the Revenue Proof: your free trial on your own customer list, measured three ways.

01Reach

Reachable share

How much of your list is consented, valid, and safe to text.

02Response

Reply rate

How many customers answer a real conversation, not just open a message.

03Revenue

Repeat revenue

What won-back customers spend over the following 30 to 45 days.

CART runs live two-way conversations with your quiet customers until you have used your 1,500 credits or 30 days have passed, whichever comes first.

Step 03

Every reply, reactivation, and revenue dollar is tracked.

You get a side-by-side comparison against your historical results.
Step 04

What You Need to Know

Getting started
What is customer winback by SMS?
Reaching customers who have gone quiet with a real two-way text conversation tied to what they actually bought, instead of a generic blast. It starts with a one-time database reactivation from your customer export, then runs on ongoing triggers: customers who go quiet, reorder timing, and subscription cancel or pause.
How long does it take to go live?
On average, 5 to 7 days, including getting your dedicated phone number and carrier (A2P 10DLC) registration approved, which is the part that takes the longest. No developer work required. SalesLead.ai handles integration, number setup, carrier registration, and compliance end-to-end.
Which ecommerce platforms does CART work with?
Customer Winback works on any ecommerce platform, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Adobe Commerce (Magento), because it needs only your customer list, order history, and consent records. Data comes in through a file export or a Klaviyo export, or through a live Klaviyo, API or webhook feed, which counts as a connection and carries the setup fee. Abandoned Cart Recovery needs live store events, so it is live on Shopify today and we set up a connection for other platforms. Custom and headless stores are scoped individually.
Pricing and free trial
What does the free trial include?
Your first 1,500 credits, a $300 value, free for up to 30 days, whichever comes first. It is one trial per brand. A card on file and your consent attestation are required before sending, and nothing is billed during the trial. It starts with a Free Revenue Review so you know what to expect.
How does pricing work?
You buy credits, and one credit is one standard-length message sent or received. Growth is pay as you go at $0.20 per credit, from a $300 purchase. Larger packs lower the rate: Momentum, Accelerate, and Scale. At 250,000+ credits, talk to us about Enterprise. Every credit includes our fully managed service, with no monthly platform fee and no long-term contract. A $500 one-time setup fee applies to your first engine that connects to your store. It is added as a separate line on your first credit purchase and does not use up credits. Database reactivation starts from your customer export, so there is no setup fee. A live Klaviyo, API or webhook feed counts as a connection, and the setup fee applies.
What happens if my balance reaches zero?
Sending pauses until you top up. You can turn on auto-reload to keep your balance topped up, or buy more any time.
Can I get a refund on unused credits?
Yes. Unused credits are refundable within 12 months of purchase, at the price you paid.
Your stack
How does CART work with my existing Klaviyo flows?
CART runs alongside Klaviyo, it doesn't replace it. Customer Winback reaches customers who have gone quiet, and cart recovery targets abandoners who didn't open your email, adding an incremental layer on top.
I already use Postscript, Attentive, or another SMS tool. Does CART conflict with it?
Customer Winback texts customers who have gone quiet, so it doesn't overlap with your active flows. For cart recovery, we pause the cart-recovery-specific flow in your existing SMS tool during your free trial, so there's no duplicate messaging to the same shopper. Everything else on your SMS program, welcome series, campaigns, non-cart flows, keeps running as normal. That gives you a clean comparison against your historical results. See how CART stacks up on our comparison page.
What does "conversational AI" mean in practice?
Instead of a scheduled blast, CART opens a real two-way dialogue. It picks up from what the customer actually bought or left in their cart, answers their questions, addresses their hesitation, and guides them back to buy, drawing on training across ecommerce categories such as beauty, wellness, apparel, footwear, jewelry, food and beverage, home goods, and pet. It can also suggest complementary products or pairings to help increase order value.
Who do you text?
Only customers with a valid SMS opt-in. We count and text only consented customers, and you attest to consent before sending. Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or with a similar word like END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
Why does CART use local numbers instead of an 800 number?
Local, dedicated numbers cost more to set up, and take more time on the front end, than toll-free, but they're what let CART feel like a real person texting instead of a bot blast. Since results depend on customers actually replying, the number has to feel like a conversation, not a notification.
Do customers know they're interacting with AI?
Yes. If a customer asks whether they're speaking with a person or an AI, CART discloses that clearly and immediately, consistent with applicable disclosure requirements.
Who runs it
Who operates and manages CART?
SalesLead.ai, end-to-end: integration, A2P 10DLC registration, and ongoing SMS operations, all run within SalesLead.ai's compliance framework. Conversations are monitored by AI in real time and escalated to our revenue execution team whenever it matters. No dashboard to manage, no team to train. CART handles the sales conversation, not customer support, so your brand keeps its own support team for questions like order issues and returns.
Do I need to manage this myself?
No. Most SMS tools hand you a dashboard and expect you to configure flows, watch the inbox, and troubleshoot deliverability yourself. CART is run by SalesLead.ai's revenue execution team, with AI monitoring every conversation in real time and escalating anything that needs a human. There's nothing for you to log into or manage day to day.
Can I get a security questionnaire or SOC 2 information before I start?
If you need a completed security questionnaire or our SOC 2 attribution before getting started, see our Security page.
